In the midst of this my son who is now an adult, was a child in the dream and late for school. The teachers were calling.
I told someone about the Trexs and realised how ridiculous it was and that they don't even exist, I was questioning how this could be.
I was in a workplace where everyone was inadequate, they appeared professional and had status but were useless.
I knelt on the floor to reach under a van and pick up some coins and a phone. I felt awkward because a man in a convertible was parked next to it and I was in the way

Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences, offering insight into our waking life. Your dream includes a variety of symbols and scenarios that could indicate themes of concern, inadequacy, nostalgia, and social interaction. Here’s a detailed interpretation of the elements in your dream:
-
T. rex Pets:
- Symbol of Fear and Chaos: The T. rex, a large dinosaur, could symbolize overwhelming fear or chaos in your life. These creatures might represent challenges or situations that feel beyond your control, which is why you are concerned about their potential to cause chaos.
- Ridiculous Nature of Concerns: Realizing that T. rexes aren't real may signify your awareness of irrational fears or anxieties. You might be stressing over issues that, upon reflection, seem absurd or blown out of proportion.
-
Hiding Under the Bed:
- Seeking Safety: Hiding often indicates a desire to escape from stressors or confrontational situations. Finding happiness while observing the T. rex struggle suggest that you may derive some comfort from distancing yourself from your fears, or that you have a certain level of control despite the chaos around you.
-
Son as a Child:
- Nostalgia and Responsibility: Seeing your adult son as a child could symbolize nostalgia for simpler times or perhaps feelings of guilt or anxiety about your role as a caregiver. The concern about him being late for school reflects anxiety over responsibilities—both yours and his—and possibly a sense of urgency in addressing personal or familial obligations.
-
Inadequate Workplace:
- Feeling Overwhelmed by Others: The environment where everyone seems professional but is actually inept may signify your frustrations with teamwork or leadership in your waking life. You might feel surrounded by unqualified individuals in positions of influence, leading to feelings of helplessness or questioning your role in such a dysfunctional setting.
-
Collecting Coins and a Phone:
- Searching for Value: Kneeling to collect coins and a phone can represent the pursuit of small rewards (coins) while also seeking connection (phone). Feeling awkward suggests potential discomfort in your social interactions or in making choices that might not align with societal expectations.
-
Busy Track with a Child Driving:
- Navigating Life's Challenges: Walking on a busy track represents the journey of life and social pressures. Assisting the child with the car signifies your nurturing side, helping others navigate obstacles—even in the face of disapproval. This reflects a resilience and commitment to support those around you, despite complexity and chaos.
Overall, your dream encompasses feelings of anxiety regarding control, responsibility, social interactions, and the challenges of adulthood. It suggests a blend of nostalgia for simpler times while addressing present-day concerns. Additionally, it indicates a need to find balance between personal desires and societal expectations—encouraging you to confront your fears while embracing the support of those important in your life.
